Special Recognition Award
Honoring 20+ years of significant contributions which advanced our flood risk-and-uncertainty analysis and the understanding of the frequency and magnitude of extreme precipitation in California and nationwide.
Your dedication, curiosity, open-mindedness, and ability to clearly articulate complex concepts, and challenge others to do the same, elevated the standards of the community of practice.
Your insights improved Hydrologic Engineering Center software, and advanced the development of updated operating rules for reservoir operations utilizing forecast information and the revisions producing Bulletin 17C for flood frequency analysis. The result is increased flood safety nationwide from projects designed and operated using this improved knowledge.
On behalf of the professional community and everyone benefiting from your substantial body of research, analysis, and collaboration, THANK YOU for your outstanding work.
